Bug Motors is registered with a single model, the Bug. The name places it among the many builders working on or around the Volkswagen Beetle platform, which underpinned more kit and replica cars than any other chassis in history.
The Beetle floorpan’s appeal was simple: cheap, plentiful, easy to shorten, and with the engine and gearbox already at one end. That is why so much of the replica trade is built on it.
