Overview
BXR Motors builds the Bailey Blade — an American two-door supercar with muscle-car proportions, made in Fort Worth, Texas. Two versions are catalogued: the road-going XTR and the GT1, the company’s race-oriented car.
The XTR uses Ford’s 5.0-litre Coyote V8 with twin turbochargers, quoted between 750 and 1,200 horsepower depending on specification. The GT1 runs a 750 horsepower twin-turbo version of the same engine on a fully integrated roll chassis, with composite bodywork keeping weight between roughly 2,400 and 2,600 pounds. Pricing starts around 155,000 US dollars.
History
The car is the work of Neal Bailey, who left a job as a web developer in 2008 and put his savings into the project, working from sketches he had been drawing since childhood. The Bailey Blade XTR was unveiled at the 2013 SEMA show and the production car was realised in 2015.
Output is very small, so any example is effectively a one-off transaction rather than part of a trading pattern.
