Gruppe B cars for sale

About these listings

Every Gruppe B listed on MotorLoop.

Overview

Gruppe B takes its name from the Group B category that ran in world rallying between 1982 and 1986 — the most powerful and least restricted rally class ever sanctioned, and the one whose cars are now among the most valuable competition machinery in existence.

Group B homologation required only 200 road cars, so genuine examples are rare and individually documented. A car under this badge is a recreation, and the distinction from a genuine car is worth a great deal of money.

Buying one in Australia

Establish what the car is built on. Group B recreations range from lightly modified road cars to purpose-built mid-engined machines, and the two are entirely different to register, insure and maintain.

Either way it goes through your state or territory’s individually constructed or modified vehicle process. Check the chassis number against the relevant marque register before assuming anything about originality.
