About these listings
Every Heritage listed on MotorLoop.
Overview
Heritage appears in the vehicle catalogue as a builder of American muscle-car bodies and cars — Mustang, Camaro and Chevelle — rather than as a marque with designs of its own. A Heritage-badged car is a reproduction or a re-bodied build of one of those three, not a Ford or a Chevrolet.
Reproduction bodies for these three models are a substantial industry in the United States, which is what makes a rust-free build of a 1960s muscle car possible at all where an original shell has gone.
Buying one in Australia
The identity question is the whole purchase. A reproduction-bodied Mustang is a different asset from a numbers-matching original, and the paperwork needs to describe honestly which one it is — a misdescribed car creates problems at insurance and resale time.
Expect an imported build to need both import approval and an engineering assessment under your state or territory’s individually constructed or modified vehicle rules.
