Overview
Kepler Motors showed the Motion, a hybrid supercar with a quoted 800 horsepower, at the Dubai International Motor Show in 2009. The powertrain was unusual for its moment: a 550 horsepower Ford EcoBoost V6 driving the rear wheels with two Remy electric motors on the front axle, making it a through-the-road hybrid with all-wheel drive.
Claimed figures were 2.5 seconds to 60 mph and a top speed beyond 200 mph, with a carbon-fibre monocoque and body, active suspension and aerodynamics, carbon-ceramic brakes and four-piece carbon-fibre wheels.
History
The company was founded by Russ Wicks, a world speed record holder, and announced a production run of just 50 cars with deliveries to start in 2012. It has been largely silent since.
That matters for a buyer. Anything wearing the Kepler name is a prototype or a very early car from a firm that did not reach series production, which makes parts, support and comparable sales effectively non-existent. Treat any listing as a one-off and have it independently inspected.
