Matrix Motor Company was an American constructor that designed and built race cars for the European Le Mans Series and as prototypes for American series, alongside a mid-engined street sports car. It is a racing constructor first and a road-car maker second, which is unusual at this scale.
One of its earliest projects was a full-size prototype of a mid-engined road-racing car designated the CL-2.
History
The company was founded in 1994 in California and operated from Ridgecrest, building coupes, racing cars and sports cars between 1996 and 2009.
