Overview
Revology Cars builds new first-generation Ford Mustangs — 1965 to 1968 fastbacks and convertibles, made to order in Orlando, Florida, with modern engineering underneath period bodywork. These are new cars, not restorations, and they are built one at a time against a waiting list.
The specification is thoroughly modern: a supercharged Roush-built V8 of around 600 horsepower, with prices starting around 175,500 US dollars and approaching a quarter of a million for a fully specified car.
History
The company was founded in 2014 by Tom Scarpello, who ran Ford’s Special Vehicle Team from 1998 to 2004 and had updated his own classic Mustang as a personal project while an engineer in Ford’s performance group. He knew from that work that the original Mustang body could not meet modern federal safety requirements without re-engineering, which is the premise the business is built on.
Revology was the only company Ford licensed to build a replica of its vehicles, and it has since moved to producing Shelby-style cars as well. Output has been measured in tens of cars rather than hundreds.
