An SS100 or XK120 wearing this badge is a reproduction, not a Jaguar. Given what genuine examples of both are worth, establishing which you are looking at is the entire first step of any purchase.

Ask for the chassis number and check it against the Jaguar registers. A genuine car will be known to them; a reproduction will not, and a seller who is straightforward about that is telling you something useful.
