South Australia hosts the opening round of the 2026 endurance season when Supercars heads to The Bend Motorsport Park at Tailem Bend — approximately 100 kilometres southeast of Adelaide — from Friday 11 – Sunday 13 September 2026.
A shorter, tighter West Circuit
The 2026 event has an interesting twist: Supercars will race The Bend's shorter West Circuit rather than its longer International Circuit. At approximately 3.41 kilometres, the West Circuit provides a tighter layout with additional overtaking opportunities.
Shorter laps mean the cars come past spectators more frequently, while the tighter sections create more chances for drivers to attack — which could make for particularly watchable racing.
Enduro format
As an enduro-style event, the weekend combines long-distance racing with driver changes, pit-stop strategy and outright speed — the ingredients that have made Australian endurance racing a fan favourite.
